Fundación Osasuna to outfit all newborns in Navarre with club kit in 2026
Every newborn in Navarre is eligible for a free Osasuna kit, thanks to the support of Kosner, Saltoki Home, Caja Rural de Navarra, Clínica Universidad de Navarra, Grupo Vitro and ATP Iluminación.
Osasuna and Fundación Osasuna gathered Wednesday with the sponsors of the "Osasunista desde la cuna" (Osasunista from the cradle) initiative to recognize their support for the program, which launched Jan. 1. The initiative offers every newborn in Navarre, if desired, a free kit that includes the team’s home jersey and shorts, a plush toy, and an "En Marcha" booklet provided by Caja Rural de Navarra for 50 euros. The program is supported by Kosner, Saltoki Home, Caja Rural de Navarra, Clínica Universidad de Navarra, Grupo Vitro and ATP Iluminación.
Representatives from all the sponsor companies met Wednesday at El Sadar, where the club’s board of directors, led by President Luis Sabalza, thanked them for their support and engagement with Fundación Osasuna’s project.
“For many years, the club and especially the foundation wanted to launch this project. It’s a reality in many European countries, but in Spain, it had not been done,” Sabalza said. “It wasn’t easy, but this year we finally made it happen. Since Jan. 1, every newborn in Navarre can receive the team’s home kit and be introduced to Osasuna.”
“It is crucial for Osasuna to remain the team of the people of Navarre. We are a small autonomous community, and it is not easy for a team like ours to compete at the highest level. This season, there are 17 cities larger than Pamplona without a team in the Primera División. It sounds easy, but it takes a lot of merit,” Sabalza said. “About 4,500 babies are born each year in our community, many of them children of immigrants who have found a place to live, work and be happy in Navarre. Perhaps, before arriving, they supported another team, but we want to help them become familiar with Osasuna from their first day. We want their first steps to be as rojillos, so they feel loved and supported by the Osasuna family and keep coming to El Sadar, keeping the osasunismo alive. ‘Osasunismo desde la cuna’ is more than a social program; it is a way to pass on our team’s fandom to future generations. It’s a project for the future.”
Each newborn receives a package with a commemorative box containing the team’s 2025-26 home kit by Macron. While it matches the one used by the first team, it features the logos of the project’s sponsors. To receive the package, families must fill out an online survey. Once completed, kits can be picked up at any Caja Rural de Navarra branch in the autonomous community.
“Today, I have the opportunity to thank every company that understands the importance of thinking about the future. I am certain that together, we will maintain this effort so that ‘Osasunista desde la cuna’ is not a one-time project, but something that sets us apart from other clubs and helps protect Osasuna’s legacy among the people of Navarre,” Sabalza said.
